I recently updated my Amazon Author Central page. (You can open it here and don’t forget to click the “Follow” button, please.)
For those of you who are writers, Amazon’s Author Central pages are a great way to sell more books. All of your books are there in one spot, you can connect it to your Twitter feed, and include videos, like my embarrassing one. Many authors ignore Amazon’s free tools—I’m not sure why.
For instance, don’t forget to jam pack your keywords. Think of them as key phrases, not just words. How might you search for a book on Amazon? Would you put in just the word mystery if you were looking for a book in that genre or would you be more specific and perhaps type, mystery and suspense for teens.
Lately, I’ve been using Amazon’s KDP Select program. Avid readers love the Kindle Unlimited program. KDP Select is controversial among authors, but genre readers love it. They can load up on their favorite books. As an author, I’m having success with the program.
I’ve been following Penny Sansevieri’s advice. She’s amazing. Her website Author Marketing Experts and her book How to Sell Books by the Truckload on Amazon have been very helpful.
Best of luck to you.
Rick, how kind of you to say this, thank you so much! Glad you’re having success!
