Today, I want to introduce you to Marci Prindville, a former worry fanatic.
Marci has mastered quite a bit in life. But, she wasn’t always a success.
Marci used to worry constantly about her future. “The more I worried the more I’d worry,” she told me in a recent interview.
On the outside, Marci had it all: a fancy job with a Fortune 10 company, a nice home, two kids, and great husband. Yet she wanted more.
Marci left a promising career and turned to coaching. She now makes more money with her own business than she did as an executive in corporate America.
Here’s how she did it…in her own words:
Hi. I’m Marci. Who doesn’t worry. We all do from time to time.
But worrying doesn’t help. It just creates more things to worry about. I learned this the hard way.
Tips to Stop the Worrying
The more we focus on the negative, the more negativity shows up in our life. The more the positive…then better things come.
However, when our mind is a roller coaster of worry, thinking positive can be hard!
How do you shut off the fretting and being concerned about the problems? The bills. The kids. Getting all the work at the office done.
Here’s what I do…
Tip # 1: Surround Yourself with Positive Influences
What your mother told you was right: “You are who you hang around with.”
Like attracts like. Thoughts influence your attitude, which creates results. Focus on the things you desire: the abundance, the success, and not on the things you’re lacking. Don’t deny the things you’re missing. Instead, focus your imagination on the good things you’ll have when you desires come true.
Spend time with positive people. If this can’t be done physically, get online and find Facebook groups or forums that align with uplifting material. Read. Listen to affirmations and motivational material.
Tip # 2: The Trick is to Let Go of Wanting and Focus on Having
The more we want…well, the more we’ll want. Remember, like attracts like.
To GET what you want, you need to focus on the feeling of already having it. This means to place your attention on the good feeling Not on the lack but on the reward, using your imagination.
Spending a few minutes, or longer, each day in creating that feeling of having it already. Visualize. Tell yourself you are already in possession of the things you want. Imagine.
Tip # 3: Let Go of Your Goals
This may seem counterintuitive, but the more you hold onto your dreams, hopes, and aspirations that tight grip weakens them.
Aim to let go of wanting, needing, or lacking.
You’ve got nothing to lose. Feeling “as if” you already have what you want can only generate more good feelings.
By letting go, you are telling the universe you trust in the goal’s creation.
Letting go is one of the most misunderstood realities of the law of attraction. But, it’s really effortless.
Tip # 4: Understand You Energy
We are more than just a pile of tissue, fluid, and muscle. Be like the thing you desire.
The more you relax and let go, you actually change your vibrational energy. It’s your energy that attracts things to you. Your energy is who you are.
Think abou it: Who wants to be around a frumpy worry-wart? Other frumpy worry warts!
To allow more of what you want into your life, turn up your positive vibration.
